Environment and Occupational Health & Safety Policy 

As Serra Sünger, we place importance on the sustainability of resources with our environmentally friendly approach as well as high-quality, innovative, and reliable production. In addition to increasing the production quality by improving the knowledge and skills of our employees, we raise awareness on occupational health and safety, and the environment. We accept and undertake to prevent environmental pollution and to carry out continuous measurement and monitoring activities for this purpose, to document, implement and maintain our records, and to keep them accessible and transparent for the public. In this regard, our goal is to set targets that will continuously improve, to review these targets, and to provide a healthy, safe, and clean environment to employees, nature and all people, especially the people of our local community.

Therefore, we will; 

Ensure continuous development and improvement by complying with all legal provisions and meeting customer requirements related to environmental aspects;
Raise awareness of employees by providing periodic trainings on the environment;
Use optimum technologies that cause the least harm to the environment within the framework of technical and economic possibilities, to ensure the protection of natural resources by reducing the use of hazardous raw materials, if any;
Consider environmental impacts in plant and process design;
Provide easy access to environmental policy by other parties (community, public, subcontractors, etc.);
Prioritize the protection of environment and human health;
Reduce the solid, liquid, gas wastes and noise effect released to the environment;
Dispose of or recycle wastes in a way that will not harm the environment by researching the recycling possibilities;
Develop our environmental management system in order to continuously improve our environmental performance;
Raise awareness among our subcontractors and the local community about our responsibilities regarding the environment, our environmental works, and ensure their participation;
Be in constant communication with suppliers and customers in order to improve the environmental impact of the products;
Evaluate alternative recycling and reuse options by reducing waste that may occur as a result of production, transportation, storage, operation, treatment, and maintenance activities;
Inform the public through our website;
Create health, safety, and environmental integrity by reducing emergency risks within the framework of our occupational health and safety rules;
Ensure that expertise and labor force at all stages of production are always at the highest level in terms of qualification, efficiency, and competitiveness;
Ensure the establishment, relevance, and continuity of our company’s integrated management system objectives;
Comply with all applicable legislation, including Quality Management, Environmental Safety, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements, as well as customer demands/requests;
Protect employees and increase productivity by taking the necessary precautions, and setting the goal of zero work accident and zero occupational disease;
Identify and eliminate unsafe situations, processes, and potential accident risks that may cause work accidents and occupational diseases in the workplace and its annexes, by performing effective risk assessments, take necessary precautions, and announce these risks to all employees;
Provide quality and safe products to our customers in accordance with our role as an industry leader;
Create a safe working environment and training opportunities for our employees within the identified working rules;
